Harrison County, Ms: The Harrison County Board of Supervisors is sponsoring a Beach Blvd clean up for Saturday, July 11th. Participants should come to the Southside of the Edgewater Mall at 630 a.m. to attend a kick-off. Volunteers will be given gloves and garbage bags and provided with a briefing detailing the areas the clean up is focusing on. Harrison County Supervisor Windy Swetman is spear heading the effort and stated “Beach Blvd is our front yard and as responsible citizens it’s our job to keep it clean”. Keesler Air Force base is co-sponsoring the event and will bus in 250 volunteer service men and woman to lead the charge.
This event is also being hosted along with the Coast Chamber of Commerce and Harrison County Beautification committee.
